Blown Away in the Windy City!
As many of you know, one of my favorite things about owning a scrapbook store is to go to CHA in the summer and winter. It is the place where retailers meet manufacturers and we pick out all our new lines for ordering. PLUS... it's a girl thing for us and I love that!!

Bo-Bunny has out-done themselves... again! We just couldn't resist. 6 new lines and new class kits. Most of these lines are coming SOON.

And then... just when we thought we couldn't get enough of My Minds Eye... the made everything glittery without the mess. I love no-mess glitter! Seriously - this Laundry Line is really cool (and they have my FAVORITE Halloween line!).

Julie, Angelia and I set off for Chicago and we had a blast... Sophie joined us for the plane ride up there - then she goes off to Michigan to stay with Grandma and Grandpa and the rest of the gang for 2 weeks.
Sophie learned our number one CHA secret... we don't go a day without peanut M&M's. And as a special treat - we mix them with pretzels. It's what keeps us going all day!
I have been trying to include EVERYTHING we ordered on this blog and it has taken me over a week (and I am getting some serious threats if I don't post soon). These items are all shipping over the next few months so we will update the blog when items come in.
Our big news is that we are going to carry SIZZIX! We LOVE the Big Shot!! So I had to convince a certain someone in our group that these new dies are soooo cute and this machine is soooo much easier to use. We went by the booth and it didn't take much convincing - they even have a motorized machine coming out in the fall. LOVE IT!! (Louise - I know you are going to take some convincing too - but I am telling you it is COOL) Keep your eyes peeled - we are planning some fun stuff with this adorable machine.
One of my FAVORITE new lines is Scenic Route - Sonoma. LOVE IT! At the last show we passed on Grafton and I just never got over it... so Grafton will be in the store soon, too!

We LOVE Fancy Pants (the UPS guy came in one time and I yelled - YEAH Fancy Pants - and he said Thanks!!... YIKES!)

We loved the first round of glitter cuts - this new batch is UNBELIEVABLE. We triple ordered them (for real!)

OH... hello?? How about Basic Grey??!! They are shipping at different times... not ideal - but since it is Basic Grey I will forgive them.

Another line I just LOVED was Pink Paislee (a new favorite) - the Vintage Moon collection. The owl is soooo stinkin' cute I could look at him all day!

Here is KC from My Minds Eye giving the camera his sexy look. I think he might be catching on - but we try to get him in a picture at every CHA.

Angelia also found someone to pose with a sexy look!!
Cosmo Cricket went on the cutsie side and it worked - Jack's World and Mr. Campy are adorable! (Papers are ALREADY in the store... embellishments coming soon)
We love Little Yellow Bicycle. We got to meet the designer of Zach's Life - one of my FAVORITE lines of winter CHA. We told her we can't wait to see more!! They were our one-stop holiday shop with awesome Halloween, Christmas and because time flies too darn fast... Valentine's (not shipping until later in the year!).
(Angelia with the designer of Zach's life)
We actually ordered something from them that is shipping in JANUARY - but it is so cool we don't want to miss it. Layering rub-ons. In other words - create your own scene with rub-ons. Sooooo great!
We have just fallen in love all over again with Making Memories. They are just classic. We ordered Spellbound, Fa La La and Paperie. Check out these beautiful layouts (classic I tell ya!!)
And of course - we are never disappointed by Reminisce! Enchanted Autumn, Scare Tactic, Frosted and Making The Grade.
Our favorite NEW company for us... GLITZ. LOVE IT!!

Here are some more coming soon...
SEI - Windsor, Alpine Frost and Lovebirds
Crafter's Workshop (in the store now!) - AWESOME new templates
Sandylion - High School Musical and Hannah Montana!!
EK Success - Disney and the most adorable Gingerbread house
Creative Cafe - always one of my favorites!!!
Creative Imaginations - too much for me to even think about!
Prima - OF COURSE!
Ranger, Tattered Angels, Bazzill, Best Creations (amazing new overlays)
Maya Road, Clear Scraps and MORE!!!!!!!!!!!
So how did we end our FABULOUS trip in Chicago??? Well - it was opening weekend of Mama Mia and we weren't going to miss it... (it's a girl thing and we loved it!!) Thanks to Julie's husband we even listened to the soundtrack while we packed!
If you have actually read through this whole blog you deserve a chance at a prize! Post a comment and we will select a winner on August 12th. (when I get back from a much needed vacation)

Once again you have shown why Scrappy Boutique is the best scrapbook store EVER! You always have the best product. It's a special treat for me when I make the trip from Oviedo to your store. I try to share the news of your store with my fellow scrappers b/c I hate seeing them shop only at one of the big craft store chains. It's always the same stuff there and nothing unique!! Thank you for making Scrappy Boutique my happy place!!

I LOVE seeing all of the new products, but it's the ANTICIPATION of having the "new stuff" in your hands that gets the creativity in high gear. I already have layouts planned in my head for some of the new Reminisce papers. Thanks, Stacy, for the great blog. You really know how to tempt everyone! Cheryl Lopez
