a HUGE honor...
As many of you have known, Jim Happ - the wonderful husband of our amazing instructor, Angelia has been in Iraq for many months. When he got home, they told me he was stopping by the store because he had something for me. I thought... t-shirt??
I was so surprised when Jim came in with his flight uniform on and presented me with an American flag. And not just any American flag... but one flown on the Highlighter III Mission Aircraft during combat operations over Liberated Iraq - Operation Iraqi Freedom - on March 5, 2009 and was dedicated to Scrappy Boutique.
Needless to say I was speechless... and those of you that have spent more than 5 minutes with me know that is VERY rare.
I am so proud to have been given such an amazing gift and I am truly honored. Thank you, Jim - and we are so thankful for your safe return!!
My brother, Mark is also in Iraq and I pray for him everyday (and for my awesome sister in law who is holding down the fort!!). Please say a prayer for all our troops... may they all have a quick and safe return!!
