Scrappy Boutique

so I knew exactly what I wanted to say!! Many of you know that our dear friend and class instructor here at Scrappy Boutique is currently going through chemo treatments in her battle against breast cancer - a battle she is sure to win.

I am so proud of her as I watch her take everything that comes her way with a spirit that does not falter. She is strong and positive and just takes everything day by day and keeps her head high, her spirits up, her sense of humor... and her style!!

I was cracking up when I read her post on facebook. Her and her best friend Jana were at her second chemo treatment - and they were - OF COURSE - scrapbooking!!! They brought Basic Grey card kits and made the best of it!

So many times I think about this hobby and what it means to me. It is so much more than what it seems. I have true friendships I never would have had, I have family members that I am so much closer to and I have a way to release my stress, be creative and sometimes it makes me see the little things in my life that make my life great that I might have missed if I didn't think about the fact that I would love to scrapbook them.

Angelia and Jana - I am so proud of you for bringing your hobby into that room and I think about what a great day that must have been. Can you imagine??? Someone saying that a chemo treatment was a great day???? What I mean is... it is not a day either of you would have chose... ever... but since it was what you had to do that day, you made the best of it.

You are both an inspiration. Happy scrapping everyone!!!!!
