Here it is... our favorite blog... the one where we tell you all about our trip to CHA in California. Louise and I set off for California with two missions in mind... find the best in scrapbooking and the perfect cupcake. Okay - so we really didn't set off looking for the perfect cupcake... but I do have a story about it! (I don't want to keep you in suspense any longer about what we ordered so I'll put the story at the end).
Basic Grey... NO BRAINER!!!!
Of course we ordered all their new lines... but they have some really cool new items... can we say BLING????

And pearls!!!

And of course... gorgeous paper!

Marrakech

Porcelain
Wisteria

Lime Rickey
Kelli Goree (the one with the amazing layouts) with Louise!

Next we went to Best Creations where they had the BEST CREATION.... glitter paper in gorgeous colors that DON'T GET GLITTER EVERYWHERE!!! We loved them - and their baby lines, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, kite flying (makes you want to buy a kite just to use the paper!!).

We love finding new companies. Our favorites this year... Jillibean Soup (how can you resist with such a cute name!!) and Scrap Within Reach. Beautiful stuff!

(jillibean soup)
(scrap within reach)
Here is a funny story... we couldn't find Pink Paisley's booth anywhere. We were getting so frustrated and we saw these gorgeous layouts and said - well I don't know where the heck (probably NOT the actual words I used) Pink Paisley is but these layouts are GORGEOUS let's look at this company. You know what company it was? Yup... PINK PAISLEY!
This one we are sooooo excited about!! We have carried bits and pieces of 7-gypsies before but we went wild this time. The ATC cards are adorable and we bought a bunch... but what we went CRAZY on was the photo spinners. We got tons of spinners and ALL the accessories. Join us in the fun as we put these together!! We can't wait!!
They also came out with one of my favorite lines from them... Gypsy Market.
Time to get creative... Heidi Swapp!! She came out with Invisibles and they are the coolest. Check out her blog you can see some demos. You can make it any color by adding ink, glaze, paint, glimmer mist... you get the idea - then the cool patterns show through. We will have samples up soon after getting in - can't wait to play!
What else?? Let me think.... oh... Glitz:
new additions to Hot Mama (hot!) - Rebel (great colors) and Sparrow (perfect for Spring)
My Mind's Eye (should be in soon!!)
BellaBella, Bloom and Grow and Penny Lane

Prima, Prima and more Prima!! The flowers are TO DIE FOR and the already stitched mulberry paper is just plain genius!!!
Fancy Pants - we ordered it all! Delight, On a Whimsy, Summer Soiree, Kraft Kuts and new really cool FRAMES!!!
Little Yellow Bicycle - we are huge fans and ordered it all, of course!
Bo-Bunny has some great new things... we ordered it all... but I'll have to tell you about it in a separate blog.
Also - We ordered from Imaginisce of course. But, the coolest thing (not out for MONTHS, though) is their new brad maker. VERY COOL!
And..... COPIC MARKERS!! Wahoo! These markers are worth every penny!
New lines from Quick Quotes and brads you can put rub-ons on. Snorkel line from Cosmo Cricket... adorable! New Ali Edwards stamps from Technique Tuesday. Bazzill, bazzill, bazzill! A beach line from Flair... always a best seller. New stuff from Tim Holtz (we will blog more about that later). New from Jenni Bowlin (LOVE HER!!!). Over a DOZEN new Slice cartridges. There may be more I just can't remember right now... but when the boxes come in, we'll let you know.
If you are still reading... good for you... you are a scrap addict!! Here is my cupcake story... Louise and I had a few hours before the red-eye to go to Downtown Disney to pick up some gifts for the kids... we had a lovely lunch at House of Blues (meant to take a picture... totally forgot)... then we shopped and saw these AMAZING looking cupcakes (which is on Louise's Basic Gray layout as one of her Top 10 FAVORITES). So being the strong will-powered people we are we passed on them. We finished up went back to the hotel and rented a movie with time to kill before our shuttle came to take us to LAX.
End of story?? NO!! We sat down and decided we couldn't get those cupcakes out of our head, so we would go down to the lobby and get dessert while we watch our movie. Restaurant... closed. So we walk to the Marriott... nothing looked good. So we walk to the Hilton... nothing looked good. So we RAN... yes, RAN to catch a bus... yes, a BUS to downtown disney, walked to the store, bought the cupcakes (which was a story in itself but I will spare you), caught a cab... yes, a CAB back to the hotel and re-started our movie. We had spent so much time that we watched the very end of the movie while standing at the door with our luggage in hand. The second the movie ended we RAN to the lobby where a shuttle full of people were waiting for us.
Was it worth it? Heck ya!! Look at these cupcakes!!!
